Mount Girnar

Girnar Mountain is about 1100m (3630 ft) high and is an extinct volcano. It is 4km east of Junagadh and is the main tourist attraction in the area. On the plateau about 180m (600 ft) from the top of the hill, is a group of beautifully carved Jain temples. There is the peak of Ambaji, with a height of 3,330 ft (1,010 m), which is famous for the temple dedicated to the goddess Amba Mata dating back to the 12th century. It is said that a visit to this temple guarantees a happy marriage. There are good natural sceneries from the top of the mountain. The steps go down and up again to Gorakhnath Peak at 1116m (3666 ft) above sea level, where there are footprints of the rishi Gorakhnath. It is the highest peak of the mountain.

Sasan Gir

The Gir Forest National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary (also known as Sasan-Gir) is located 65 km to the south-east of Junagadh and 60 km to south west of Amreli. It is the sole home of the pure Asiatic Lions and is considered to be one of the most important protected areas in Asia due to its supported species.Gir National Park and Sanctuary does not have a designated area for tourists. However, to reduce the tourism hazard to the wildlife and to promote nature education, an Interpretation Zone has been created at Devalia within the sanctuary. Within its chained fences, it covers all habitat types and wildlife of Gir with its feeding-cum-living cages for the carnivores and a double-gate entry system. Asiatic Lion Century is open from October to June.

The city of Junagadh has other 18th century mausoleums built by the Nawabs in the area around Chitkana Chowk. Started in 1878 by Mohabbat Khanji and completed in 1892 by his successor,Bahadur Kanji.
Mohabbat Maqbara Palace, also Mausoleum of Bahaduddinbhai Hasainbhai, is a beautifully built mausoleum in Junagadh, India, that was once home to the Nawabs of Junagadh. Its striking art and architecture make it one of the city's most important historical landmarks. It is also one of the city's oldest Mughal monuments.
The Mohabat Maqbara is a palace-mausoleum in the Junagadh district of the Indian state of Gujarat, adjacent to the sacred Girnar Hills in Saurashtra. The etymological meaning of Junagadh "Old Fort" gives the palace its alternativ name of "The Old Fort Palace". Amongst the forts and monuments in the state of Gujarat, the Mohabbat Maqbara is an exquisite example the nineteenth century art and architecture.
