Girnar Ropeway

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Girnar Ropeway in Gujarat, which has become Asia’s longest ropeway. The ropeway has been constructed on Mount Girnar in Junagadh District, which is a major tourist attraction in Gujarat because of the presence of pilgrim sites such as Amba Temple, the Dattatreya Shrine, and many other Hindu templesas. Girnar Jungle Nature Safari

Girnar forest located near Junagadh in Gujarat is a home for a number of animals and plant species and its natural beauty attracts a number of tourists every year. Summer Season for Girnar Nature Safari has started from 1st March, 2021 and it will continue till 15th June, 2021. The morning timings are 6 AM to 9 AM and evening timings are 4 PM to 7 PM.

Located in the centre of the old city, Mahabat Maqbara is an architectural example of the fusion of Hindu, Muslim and European Gothic style. Mahabat Khanji started building it in 1878 and was completed by Bahadur Khanji in 1892. A must visit place in Junagadh.

It may be mentioned here that other such famous places for immersion of ashes and bones (Hindu rite of asthi-visarjana) are in Ganga at Haridwar and Triveni Sangam at Prayag. The water of the lake has properties of dissolving the bones.The lake is 257 ft long and 50 ft broad and only 5 feet deep.
